KATHRYN NANI earned her Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School and subsequently was admitted to the Illinois Bar in May of 2019. While in law school, Kathy interned for the Honorable Jeffrey Lawrence in the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. In addition, Kathy spent a semester working at the Environmental Law and Policy Center in Chicago where she worked on the environmental impact of the North Dakota Bakken shale fracking project. Kathy also spent a semester in law school working for the Business Law Clinic.

Kathy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame and received her Master of Science degree, in Viticulture and Enology, from the University of California at Davis.

Prior to joining Gunty and McCarthy, Kathy was an enforcement attorney at the State of Illinois Securities Department where she investigated and assisted in the prosecution of investment fraud. Kathy also has experience handling business disputes, commercial litigation and transportation cases.
